entire product database or just update specific products. We will cover the
following: • Add Product • File Upload Product Flat File • Delimiter • If Products Being Imported Already Exist • Keep the Existing Products • Replace the Existing Products • Update the Existing Products Importing Products Miva Order gives you the option of importing your products from a flat text file – as
opposed to entering them one at a time using the ‘Add Product’ form. Such a file
may be created in any plain text, spreadsheet, or database editor that has the
ability of writing to a regular text file. The list of editors that you can use for this
includes, but is not limited to, the following: • HoTMetal Pro • Microsoft Excel/Access • FileMaker Pro • BBEdit • SimpleText • NotePad • VI or VIM • DOS Edit • WordPad (save as ASCII text) .txt file created in
MS Word with the
fields delimited by ‘|.’
